Yay! Finally a baking workshop I can take Ollie too! Ollie has been fascinated with my KitchenAid ever since he could understand what I was doing, pouring stuff into the mixer (it just means that he gets cake/brownies later!)
We have had a couple of rare afternoons where he would help spoon muffin batter into the muffin cases..er, usually a case of him licking his fingers, or dipping his fingers further into the batter!
So I came across this post about the baking workshop on the Xin Flavours Facebook Page. I am currently a subscriber and I love that it is a magazine with bilingual food recipes! Mostly Chinese recipes that can cater to my China-man hubby’s tastebuds haha. I used to subscribe to their Food & Travel magazine, and then the BBC Good Food: Asian Edition magazine too..but space and budget got in the way. Xin Flavours I still can justify! Haha.
When I saw the baking workshop, I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to spend some one-on-one time with the kiddo, and share our love for baking! The Lightning McQueen theme and the Angry Birds theme would definitely keep Ollie engrossed. I mean..wah lao, he requests for Angry Bird printed fishcakes lor. #mypoorpocket
So good news for me and anyone else who would like to participate, because they are offering a further 10% off registration fees for the kids (usual price $60, now $27 after discount)! Parents get to join in for free and stand to win a EUROPACE 12-in-1 food mixer worth S$1,298! (I already have a KitchenAid but hey, I am sure there is more room for another food mixer!)
To register for this baking workshop, just send an email to cookingstudio@media-group.com.sg. Hope to see you there!

Hi
My son is 2.8 yrs by August. Is he eligible to join this workshop? He can understand simple instructions and he had helped me in baking sometimes. How much will be the fee? Thanks

Hi Pyria,
The workshop is 1.5hrs long and the fees is $27 for one child and one accompanying adult. I wouldn’t think there would be a prob but it would be better if you emailed the organiser at cookingstudio@media-group.com.sg regarding the age group cos they did say 3yrs. They have also mentioned that they understand there will be kids of diff ages and so parents can take their kids out if they are unable to sit for too long. So hope it helps!
