final shopping trip

it’s been a while, but I spent the entire day shopping. Like full-scale shopping. *blissful sigh* I’m not going to be shopping for a long time.

and I had an awesome time. =D Started off at Harbourtown with a cup of iced white chocolate mocha and a cookie, then it was off to browsing, to check out the bargains before going in for the kill. *grin*3 hours later, it was off to the city for another round.

I had an objective in mind. Chinese New Year shopping! =) I needed a top, new jeans, new shoes, and a new bag. and those I got and more! hehe. I think I’ll have to forgo my massage cos of the damage done by the shopping. Ack.

The damage?

3 pairs of Levis jeans for $120
4 tops from MNG for $45
1 handbag from MNG for $27
1 pair of Reebok running shoes for $50
1 pair of Rivers heels for $18
1 top from Esprit for $20
2 polo tees from Cotton On for $20 for Donald
sheet set for $50

Ick. $350 worth of damage! Just as well I’m moving back to Singapore =( Haven’t found the shopping experience in SG to be fantastic..haha. Oh wells, maybe next time.

sunset along Matilda Bay, Perth

Spent Thursday evening walking along Matilda Bay with a friend, Jonno, who so kindly accompanied me to check out nice spots for a gathering happening next Saturday for my going-away. I’ve lived in Perth for 3 years now, and haven’t walked along that stretch. And to think I studied around that area and lived there for almost a year too!

I still can’t believe we walked for 2 hours though. We weren’t rushing, just walking along the bay. My feet was so sore after though. Was so glad that I decided to go home and change before coming out again.

Digressing: lol, just saw someone picking up my kerbside trash! the white little bench is gone. I hope someone will do some work to it and make it pretty again, like I was going to do. =(

Now, yes. Went home and changed into shorts and thongs. It was a long sweaty walk. I sure couldn’t really trust my feet to drive, but I got home in one piece. =D Also decided on a nice little spot at the end of Matilda Bay. *beams*

Took the boys for their vaccination today. Thomas was whinging as usual and had his 可怜 face on. haha. But it was all good. Was gonna go with Liza later that morning. To a certain extent, I’m glad we didn’t. I could barely handle two cats by myself, what more about 4 cats with 2 of us! I dropped by Peter’s to drop the cages off, and saw that they were having ‘fun’ putting their cats in. haha. So just as well I split the appointments. Now we have nice certificates to prove that the boys have had their jabs, yay!

Been tidying up the house bit by bit, room by room, slowly dismantling stuff and sorting out the stuff that are wanted by some of my friends. All to be picked up next week, hopefully. hehe. I should be busy enough next week to make the week fly by, and then it will be THE week where all the boxes gets picked up. Sold the piano today! Very happy it’s going to a good home. =D

Exciting, and not terribly exciting. Mixed feelings. But oh wells I guess.

post australia day

…is a sluggy day. I was so sleepy when I woke up at my usual time this morning. Slugged around the house, and then slugged-drive to work, slugged at the desk, and then still slugging away.

I didn’t really have a big day yesterday, but it was more than what I usually have during the day. =P Woke up about 1 hour later than usual, cos I was up talking to a crazy woman called Justina. I can’t believe we were laughing over the word “kachang puteh” (kachang = nut, puteh = white). It’s a term that we use to call a cone of nuts that people used to buy outside cinemas before popcorn came about. Kenneth reckoned it’s called kachang puteh cos of the sugared nuts that the kachang puteh guy sells. But yeah, for some reasons, when I talk to Donald, Kenneth and Justina about kachang puteh, it always cracks me up, and then we’d have the stupidest jokes about kachang puteh. hahahaha.

Spent the morning doing some work, and then watching some shows, eating rubbish food for lunch (sugared toast with chocolate on it), cleaned the house a little, made some calls, showered and then headed out for dinner with Rachel, Dan & Daisy at Wagamama’s. The food wasn’t fantastic, but it sure beats me cooking for one at home. After dinner, they headed off to watch the fireworks whilst I went off to Liza’s house to chill with Liza and Jonno.

And chill we did. Goodness, we talked from 7pm, and I think we only left Liza’s place at 10.30pm.

Then I went home, showered and died till this morning. haha. Got a fairly full week really. Haven’t had one of these for a really long time. Dinner with Rachel & Daisy at Cottesloe tonight, picking picnic/bbq spots tmrw evening with Jonno, chill on Friday night, vet visit for the boys with Liza & her cats on Saturday, maybe Tash’s farewell Sat arvo, more pack-ups on Sunday.

It’s making time fly really quickly!! 2 more weeks! hehe *beams* =P
